Viva a vida Foundation and Australian Multicultural Community Services presents Empowering Women – “Smart Women, Smart Money”

Viva a Vida Project invites you to join our community and help other women with financial education.

Managing personal finances was never a very easy task, especially when we were never trained to study about it. Understand about credit card interest, bank fees, interest on loans, and how to get out of debt and manage to keep track of money, save money, and specially set aside for emergencies.

From these premises, we see many women who have no control over their debts, do not know how to get out of them, and most of the time, they are ashamed to ask for help, as they always have the stigma of “spending everything on clothes and shoes” , when many times, she is trying to organise her financial life, so that her children do not lack anything.

When a woman is married and does not work, she ends up being financially dependent on her partner, and most of the times, they do not know how to organise their finances either, and ends up overloading the woman, bringing fights, inconvenience and concerns.

We want to show that financial education does not have to be a difficult task to learn. Contrary to what it seems, the most effective actions to be able to save and build a financial reserve for the future are punctual and can be easy to do. Most of the time, these women don’t know where to turn for help, and how to get out of debt and plan for a more comfortable future.

It will be shown that by mapping monthly expenses, it can be the first step in regaining control of your finances. And it can be done through an expense sheet.

Debt renegotiation, especially when a large part of your budget is consumed by these amounts, but you need these payments to be adequate so that they fit in your budget. Creating monthly goals, emergency reserves, the opportunity to show these women that there is hope of getting rid of those debts.

When we help a woman, we also help our society. talking about this subject is not just talking about money, it is also talking about independence and autonomy.
